Fall Down the Rabbit Hole!

We don't know about you, but we're so excited to see Tim Burton's rendition of the fabulous fairy tale Alice in Wonderland. We're planning on heading the premiere decked out in our finest costumes - Here are our favorite Alice in Wonderland costumes:

This famous trippy tale is the perfect story to model your Halloween costumes around, as there are millions of characters to mimic. Just be careful you don’t try anything labeled “eat me.” As Alice has taught us, those little mushrooms can be bad news!
Ladies can start with our Alice Adult Fairytale Classics Costume. Includes a blue satin dress with attached apron, and a black headband. You may want to practice a perfect British accent with a hint of ditz, as we’re aware Alice wasn’t the brightest crayon in the box. We recommend carrying around a tea cup, or at least some of those valentines hearts as props.
Go the opposite route with our Alice in Gothland costume. A riff off the Alice tale, this costume is sexy, spicy, and any other word you’d never associate with the original Alice. The costume includes dress with attached petticoat, apron, choker, headband, and gloves. It may not be typical, but it’s definitely a welcome change!
Oh! It’s the white rabbit! He’s late, he’s late, for a very important date! Channel the white furry friend in this fabulous tale with our Alice in Wonderland Classic White Rabbit Hat. Make sure you can find the Mad Hatter, because you know there’s a tea party to attend! Make this costume even better by adding a long pocket watch.
Go all out rabbit in our Deluxe White Rabbit Adult Costume. It includes rabbit body, feet, mitts, vest, jacket, watch and hat. This one’s sure to have you right on the money, as it’s as perfect of an imitation as a human could get! Whiskers aren’t included, but we’d recommend drawing them on and adding a pink nose!
Who could forget the deliriously ridiculous Mad Hatter? Replicate the ridiculous in our Mad Hatter Adult Fairytale Classics Costume. Would you like some more tea, my dear? Oh, never mind that you haven’t had a first cup! Includes Multi-color hat, Orange jacket, Light Green pants, and vest with tie.
Mimic the dumbest twins ever (or perhaps, just the most devious!) in ourTweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum costume. Costume includes a one piece jumpsuit with attached suspenders, bowtie, and propeller hat. For a look that’s nearly identical to the one in the famous Disney film, try this one.

Get Ready for July 4th!

We’ve got a birthday to celebrate! In just a couple of days America will turn 233 years old! Everyone seems to celebrate it in one way or another, or at least acknowledge it.
I just say the words, ”4th of July” and immediately you’ve got images of fireworks, parades, and barbeques flooding your mind. Everything isred, white, and blue. Uncle Sam has a big grin and is dancing about in the streets. Flags are waving away and there’s an overall feeling of happiness, right? At the very least, most of us think of the 4th of July as the start of summer and spend some time outside basking or playing in the sun – slathered in sunscreen, of course.
Here’s some interesting facts you may not know about Independence Day. Share them with your friends and family and you’ll look utterly brilliant, and, no doubt be the life of the party on the 4th of July.
  • The first Independence Day was celebrated on July 8th, 1776 – not on the 4th!
  • The 4th of July wasn’t even a federal legal holiday until 1941!
  • In 1776 there were 2.5 million people in the 13 original colonies. Last year on the 4th, there were 302 million in 50 states.
  • The US imported about $216 million of fireworks in 2006, with $206 million from China.
  • We also imported $5.3 million in flags – again, mostly from China.
  • Americans eat more than 150 million hot dogs on the 4th of July!
Throw on your party clothes and celebrate Uncle Sam’s birthday. Do it in style. Red, white, and blue is the way to go - whether you’re in a bikini, shorts and a t-shirt, or a suit. Top off the look with a party hat just right for the occasion. We’ve got yourtraditional Uncle Sam top hat! You just can’t go wrong with these! They are all really well-made and fun. I love the quality of these and the velvet-like material they are made out of. They are comfy as can be and hold their shape fantastically. And they all have this great little feature - size adjusters inside. You can make them fit your head perfectly. This comes in really handy for me – being of the more compact size than most.
These are these are the perfect party-hat for whatever type of birthday celebration you may having for our country this year. I’m thinking — great with a bikini at the beach or in the stadium watching some killer fireworks extravaganza.
So get out there – watch those parades, hit the beaches, light up the grill, oooh and aaahhh over fireworks, wave your flags, blow your horns this Independence Day. Celebrate! It’s party-time!

5 Hilarious Animal Costumes!

Oh, you’re such an animal!
This Halloween, pay homage to the other half of our species. No, we don’t mean men; we mean animals! Some we think of as pets, some we see in zoos, some we see as food, but let’s face it, all of them make great costumes!
Buggin’ out? Women can rock our Lady Bug Adult Classic Costume. This costume is as adorable as can be, with a short red mini dress with black spots, black and red wings and a little hat with antennae. It even comes with black gloves!
Go sexy with our Peacock Animal Costume. This costume includes a fabulous striped dress with blues, greens and gold. It comes with a giant peacock tail that fans out behind you, and a feathered headpiece. Peacocks aren’t a usual costume choice, so you can be sure you’ll be the only girl around with this baby on!
Men and women alike can rock our Penguin Adult Costume. This costume is funny and cute at the same time. Grab a bunch of them and make like March of the Penguins! Another funny option (though along a different vein) is our Pigs in a Blanket Adult Costume. If penguins aren’t your thing, maybe pigs are! Oink oink!
Teens can rock our Cat’s Meow Teen Costume. Costume includes a full out spotted body suit with attached tail, a headband with adorable ears and glovelets. Meeeowww, girl!
Make some moooo-sic with our Comical Cow Costume. Costume includes black & white cow print jumpsuit, headpiece with attached horns & ears and of course the udder. It’s sure to get some laughs out of even the most sour of partygoers.
Get things buzzin’ in our Fly Girl Adult Costume. This one’s got a double meaning, giving a shout out to old school Fly Girls like JLO and a shout out to our least favorite bugs. Flies might not be well liked, but you will be, because this costume is great! It includes a black dress with blue “FLY GIRL” writing, realistic looking wings, and a little hat with antennae. Buzz buzz buzz!
